is that the internet in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Apple iPhoneafter over a year of waiting, i have finally become the proud owner of an iphone. while i didn’t line up overnight to be one of the very first to get one, i did end up visiting quite a few fido stores around metro vancouver before finally finding one with the 16GB model in stock.

the cost of my new plan is quite ridiculous, but what the hell - it isn’t known as the jesus phone for nothing.

so far, i absolutely love it;  the interface is amazing, i only carry one device instead of 2, i have a camera with me at all times now too, and with my data plan, i have the internet in my pocket wherever i go. my new iphone (here’s where i make myself sound old) now has more storage capacity and processing power than the very first computer i bought for myself back in highschool and it fits in my pocket.

it’s a good thing i love it though, because i’m going to spend the next three years paying for it.

  1. lol. not bad. not bad at all.

  2. I’m happy to see you WITH the internet in your pocket! I’m so happy you finally have the phone you’ve been waiting your entire life for. I’m happy, not only because it makes YOU so happy, but because you can stop talking about it. Oh wait, now all you do is talk about all its cool features. Ugh. Well, it’s a pretty smart piece of metal (and ceramic, apparently), so I hope it is worth your wait and patience. Now I can feel cool, on your arm, while you’re talking on your Jesus Phone.

I think the iphone light-saber feature is worth $100/month.

  4. definitely! combined with the iBeer app, it’s a total steal.

  5. neil, neil, neil. all i remember of you in our teenage years is two things. one: you ALWAYS sleeping on the couch after school with the tv on some stock report or business news channel! every day neil, every single day! urgh… funny though, now that is my favorite program and it is all i watch when i do watch tv. interesting… i guess you have influenced me far beyond what i ever could have imagined. second: i remember you FOREVER being at your computer, talking about technology, seeing you smell the drifts of new things to come, and just plainly being interested in anything and everything that was still not yet available, basically. i remember endlessly hearing a fan in your room! of course it was the fan in the tower, keeping the big guy from overheating. i swear i can still hear it, ringing in my ears. now, look at the advancements that have come along since then. life is bringing to you more and more of the stuff your dreams are made of. you are one lucky guy. keep dreaming, because obviously you are making them come true.

  6. lol. yeah, i would nap every single day, mostly because i would spend all night on the internet doing homework. i hardly ever nap anymore, as hard to believe as that is.
