new ipods
ok, so unless you’ve been under a rock for the last week, you’ve probably heard about the new ipods. i have to admit, they all look fantantic. however, i already have an 8GB fifth generation nano, which I love and use everyday. if the iphone weren’t here, and i didn’t know any better, the new ipod touch would be my choice, without a doubt - it’s amazing and beautiful. the new nano is great too if you’re on a budget, and at $219, it’s definitely a nice little player.
personally, what i’m really waiting for is the iphone - it’s everything i want (mp3 player, pda, and phone) in one device that fits in my pocket. hopefully apple and rogers make the deal happen soon.

I wouldn’t hold your breath Neil. I think the iPhone is still a ways off from showing up here in Canada. That’s why I decided to pre-order the new iPod touch. I am thinking there is usually enough free wi-fi hotspots around Vancouver so I will be able to use the iPod for checking my webmail.
Although when the iPhone does finally arrive it looks like we will be getting it at a reduced price which almost makes it worth the wait.

yeah, i know. i’m hoping that apple and rogers will announce something before christmas, but i’m highly skeptical that they will. because of the sheer size of the european cell phone market, i think apple will concentrate on that before little wee canada, with our insane data plan fees. like you said though, at least we won’t have to pay such a high price.
i used to have a pda with wifi, which i thought i’d be able to use to do the same thing, however, with such a big push for wireless security, it is much more difficult to find one. you’ll have to keep me posted on how it works out.
